Tilottama Majumdar is an accomplished writer born on January 11th, 1966, in North Bengal. Her childhood was in the tea plantations of Kalachini, where she completed her primary education.

In 1985, she moved to Kolkata and attended the Scottish Church College, where she completed her undergraduate studies. Tilottama's writing career began in 1993 when her work got published in "Unmesh" magazine in Kalachini.
