Early Life and Education
Karlos Papoulias was born on June 4, , in Ioannina, Greece.
His father, a Major General, instilled in him a strong military background. After completing six years of primary school in Pogoniani and attending local gymnasium, Papoulias joined the ranks of the National Resistance Movement during the Nazi occupation.
After World War II, Papoulias earned a law degree from the University of Athens and pursued additional studies in Milan and Cologne.
Biography of albert einstein
He obtained a doctorate in international private law and spent time as a research fellow in European universities. Additionally, he authored a book on Greek resistance against the Nazis, published by Suhrkamp.
Political Career
Papoulias was active in the Socialist Democratic Union Abroad and founded a syndicalist resistance organization.
