Teatime for retiring Hillside Family of Agencies CEO Dennis Richardson
As much as he will miss saying, “This is Dennis Richardson from Hillside” when he makes or answers a phone call, he's looking forward to enjoying a leisurely cup of tea in the morning with his wife, Kathy.
“I want to get up in the morning and sit with Kathy rather than kiss her goodbye at 7 a.m.
and go right out the door and be gone for the next 12 hours,” said Richardson, who announced last week that he was retiring June 30 as president and chief executive officer of the Hillside Family of Agencies.
“I just love being at Hillside,” said Richardson.
“When folks ask what I do, I talk about Hillside.

They say, ‘What do you do there?’ I say I have the good fortune of running the place. I will miss saying that.”
Richardson joined the organization in 1994 and oversaw its budget grow from $30 million a year to $160 million a year.
